About Us

The Montrose Woman’s Club was founded in 1946. We are a Helping Club that provides support to its members and the greater Montrose community through charitable services and philanthropic activities. 

Our members volunteer and donate time (rather than just giving money), to help those in need of charitable services.

We hold two major fundraisers a year, the Flea Market the first weekend in April and Holiday Bazaar, the first weekend of November. Both events are held in Friendship Hall at the Montrose Fairgrounds. Proceeds are awarded to local charities in May. We also make, and provide to law enforcement, Hug-a-bears — given to children removed from difficult home situation. We also donate holiday gifts to nursing homes as well as personal items.

Monthly meetings are held September through May at the Montrose Lion’s Clubhouse. May and December are ‘potluck lunch’ meetings that begin at 11:30 with a special program at 12:30. All other meetings are brown-bag and held at noon with guest speaker or presenter at 12:30. A business meeting follows the program. Most meetings conclude by 1:30 pm. The public is welcome. Annual membership is $15. Members are asked to volunteer their time to help with our philanthropic activities.
